Examination Stress : how to face it?

1. focus on the fundamentals of each subject: a twisted problem can be solved, if your concepts are very clear
2. try to UNDERSTAND and solve numericals, especially the SOLVED EXAMPLES portion from at least 2 good books
3. have confidence in yourself: that you also can do things, as others do
4. have a quick revision of each paper and spend 20% of your study time to think about the technical details for good memory-retention: THIS STEP IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT.
5. YOU MAY SELECTIVELY LEAVE SOME COMPLEX TOPICS
6. PREVIOUS YEARS' PAPER MUST BE CONSULTED TO PLAN YOUR FOCUS BEFORE THE EXAMS
7. YOU MAY TAKE SOME MULTIVITAMIN FOR HEALTH
8. DRINK LARGE QUANTITY OF WATER FOR FITNESS
9. TAKE YOGIC EXERCISE TO FEEL STRONG
10. BE COOL ALL THE TIME...

Suggested Readings on Control Systems( EI and ECE )

Books to be consulted:
1. Saeed Hasan
2. D. Roychoudhury
3. BS Manke
4. AK Jairath

For both EI and ECE :

5. Modeling of systems, Difference between Closed Loop and Open loop systems, Block Diagram Reduction, and Mason’s gain formula for Signal Flow Graphs are very important

6. Solve as many numericals as possible from Routh-Hurwitz criterion( if possible pl. refer to the book by AK Jairath)

7. Drawing of Bode Plot and finding GM and PM is most important for exams.

8. Finding Transfer Function from a given Bode magnitude plot is also important(refer. AK Jairath)

9. Cover all the sub-topics on Root-locus to be able to solve any problem on Root-locus , as a question on Root-locus(similar to solved examples of BS Manke’s book) will be given. Finding the intersection will the imaginary axis is very important, along with finding centroid etc.)

10. Pl. try to memorize standard polar plots so that problem on Nyquist Plot could be solved( pl.note that the solution is really time-consuming)

11. A highly scoring area is : time-response analysis from 2 questions are expected)

12. Realization of PID control etc. should be covered from Ogata’s book, in addition to s-domain analysis

13. You can expect one numerical problem from Lead or Lag compensator design

For ECE students some additional topics need be studied seriously:

1. describing function analysis and phase plane analysis is most important
2. one problem on Lyapunov Stability is expected
3. problems on z-transform and inverse z-transform are really important
4. Highest importance needs be attached to problems on State Variable Analysis:
Solution of state equation, finding transfer matrix, finding state model from a given transfer function, test for controllability and observability should be at your focus

Suggested Readings and some study materials

A symbol of peace...

On 24.11.2009, I paid a visit to Adyapith_Dakshineshwar from where I went to SriKrishnadas Ashram, at Mangalghat near Adyapith. I have never experienced such peace and tranquility before. The meditative silence in the ashram really overwhelmed my mind and body. I wish to go that place whenever I get some spare time.
It's an ideal place for meditation.
I think peace-loving people will be able to enjoy silence and peace in a dignified way, totally free of cost...

Grit to defeat Failures

I have attended a lecture session by MD, Acclaris India, Mr. Kalyan Kr. Kar. I was spell-bound to hear the success story of his company. A series of entrepreneurial failures in his life could not stop him from trying out new ventures, and finally he came out with flying colours.
It happened to him and he did not have enough money to sustain a good family life , many times in his career. But the only he did : kept fighting for creating wealth and employment for the himself and the society by sheer grit, determination, honesty, and hard work...
I am trying to learn a lot of lessons from his life.

it's a geat experience to directly listen to a man who believes in fighting for a mission in life

I wish to remind myself that NO EDUCATION IS EVER COMPLETE, HENCE LET ME LEARN...

Fear destroys the body and mind of a being...

To be fearless, we must ignite our minds with true knowledge...the science and art of self-realization...

We should remain prepared for the worst cases in all matters of life.

We must remember Swamiji's saying: STRENGTH IS LIFE,WEAKNESS DEATH.

I believe that in general, the world pays respect to the Strongs and hates the Weaks.

Hence we should try to be strong in all the three aspects of life...namely body-mind and spirit.

To be afraid of a human being is a personal crime.
Our weaknesses should first be destroyed to become bold, courageous, and strong with one and all.
But finally the real power flows from the compassionate heart of a human being, not from the brutal power of a so-called human being...

Fear of what ?

I believe that FEAR IS THE GATEWAY TO EXPLOITATION, INJUSTICE AND DEATH.
For overcoming fear, we may take some of the following measures:
1. A practical approach to LIVE IN THE PRESENT-principle
2. to know that majority of our fears are baseless
3. to live one day at a time
4. to learn the art of practical self-defence(highest will-power as well as physical force are also needed to defeat the brute power of others)
5. to remain prepared for any eventuality in life
6. tough times never last, but tough people do...to remember this great saying
7. to increase will-power by regular prayers

Focus on work can really change our attitudes for everything in life..

As I try to be involved in work for about 10 hrs aday, I find the results are simply marvellous...
Things are changing such that I find my works to be a great personal relief.

Really it works.
My attitudes are changing for the better...
I am learning how to say 'no' to 'all talks , no real action taken' policy of majority of the people.

keeping aloof from dirty politics and back-biting

The best way to answer dirty games of the professional colleagues is to be 'staight-forward' in matters. It is better to face anything with boldness in heart...
We should not answer everything we face. We should be bold and confident enough to ignore 99% of the back-biting,leg-pulling, and other political harrasments.
But in 1%, answer should be the ultimate one, the final , the final destruction of all misunderstandings...
Living under any kind of fear is death magnified and highly tormenting.
It is best to give clear answer at the face only, ...directly and without any hesitation...
Lack of clarity is at the heart of all interpersonal problems...
Clarity of concepts and its Clear Communication result into problems-free and tension-free life.
Saying 'clear No' and 'clear yes' are the building blocks of trouble-free relationships in both personal and professional life...

Courageous decision-making and its fruits...

We can not achieve anything in life till we learn to be courageous. Some of our decisions are to be made independently, as these may seem eccentric to most of the people...

If we do not take decisive actions today, we shall invite sufferings later on.
Before taking vital decisions about our course of action, we should go in for a self-brainstorming session for considering 'n' numbers of parameters in the whole process...

Behind all our failures lies 'not doing right kind of work' at the right time after we decided to do something...

Lack of consistency and tenacity to hold on to our dreams are the biggest deciding factors in real life...

Personally, I had no dreams in life...Even now I have no dreams for my future, as there is no future to me...It is just to pull on with my own perceptions and funny ideas about life and existence...

I firmly believe

Power of concentration towards can do the miracle...

I have realized recently that concentration of the mind is the only thing that I need to deliver the goods in time.

Focussing the mind on one job at a time is essential for deriving good quality output for any job...

Too much of the personal relationships at the work-place really affect the quality and quantity of works done...

It is also essential to control the tongue about any topic so as to minimise human interference in the job.

Keeping silence and breaking the same at the appropriate time is essential to keep mental concentration at a high level.

Most powerful human qualities :

1. concentration in actual work,
2. Power of facial expression and forceful speaking at times,
3. Patience and perseverance in pursuing creative and innovative ideas and actions

Working hard ?

Working hard has never been my passion. I can not work hard. I have almost no faith in working hard.
I believe in work to be done in slow but steady manner so that I don't have to work hard.
I try to inject Innovative Ideas in all my actions to reduce the burden of work. I try to finish my job with minimum efforts possible.

I am trying to apply DIN (DO IT NOW)principles for all daily jobs...

I constabtly try to find faults with myself to find out the lack of creativity and innovations in my present time and actions...

Finding faults with others is a personal crime, as it makes me feel bad at the end of the day.
God bless..

Nectar of wisdom from great minds

Presently I am trying to build up a strong foundation of my personal life from one saying of Swami Vivekanada: STRENGTH IS LIFE,WEAKNESS DEATH.

I am also trying to work on the philosophy of Russian Philosopher Turgenov: Life is hard work , and sacrifice.

But the greatest inspiration is from father who used to believe in HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY.
I am working on CREATIVE & INNOVATIVE LIVING

Tenacity of purpose...

I have a vacillating mind and hence could achieve anything much in my life. But one example created a great stir in my mind last week. It is a case of one my relatives. Through public speaking and marketting of financial products, a person is now a multi-millionnaire. He had to work very hard(about 16 hours a day) for last ten years. Now he is team-leader of about 10000 members.

It is the height of material desires and tenacity of purpose and persistent hardwork that really matter for achieving something great...

Great physical fitness, mental alertness , common sense and realistic dreams, and hard work that transform an ordinary person into an extra-ordinary personality...

It is the ablty to lead and influence...
It is the abilty to build up relationships with customers and the investors ...

THAT MAKE MONEY FOR US...

GOD BLESS...

Bold and beautiful thoughts...

Bold and beautiful thoughts coupled with honesty and hard-work can lead us to happiness...

Be different...

Contribute something special to lives of others...

An honest person has nothing to fear...
Regular prayers to God will make us stronger day by day...

Hard-work keeps us away from all kinds of frustration and negative thoughts...

I have realised that work is the only key to heavenly peace. Through work, we can earn money, and with hard work, we can really be rich. Through well-planned and systematic work, we can a life with sufficient money for good living, and we can keep our minds engaged in a manner that eliminates most of our negative thoughts.

To be happy, we must remain engaged in work only...
To cleanse the mind, we must go on working as selflessly as possible...

We should remind ourselves that real happiness has almost no taste...

As happiness is not the transitory pleasures of our senses...

Hence, we should try to go beyond both happiness and sorrows...

God bless...

Running after money: cause of anarchy in modern life

It is not all bad , if someone is honest and at the same time possess a great sense of philanthropic attitudes

Running after money is for the most frustrated persons in the world. The hidden hollowness of one's mind AND knowledge is expressed as a strong drive for earning money. People should earn money through honest work. People get addicted to earning money and it results into hollowness of mind and heart...Most of the rich people try to convert money power into equivalent muscle-power and here lies the root of all evils perpetrated by them on the innocent & peace-loving common men and women...

Dirty & unaccounted money of the quick-rich is meant for:
lavish eating, drinking alcohols, enjoying illicit sex, covering up illegal activities, threatening the exploited common men and women etc...an unending list of beastly pleasures of life...which lead them to the hell on earth in later life...

Let us try to improve our ways of doing things by becoming as selfless as possible...

All our sorrows will vanish...

God bless...

Changing times and dangers ahead...

Some people got rich in a very short time and they are trying grab everything by the use of money power. Students are getting arrogant, because of the money in their hands. They have little respect for the elders. Things are changing very fast. But one thing is very clear that things are changing for the worst effects on social peace.

Peace-loving people are finding it difficult to live a happy life, as the nuisance, rowdyism, and immoral acts all-around are making lives hell.

Therefore, we should look for inner peace through spiritual and yogic living. Still, we face hurdles in that direction , we should create examples by taking bold actions against the culprits.

I am now a ONE-MAN Army-Politician-Humorist-Muscle-man & SpiritualMan for myself. Mostly I shall fight alone by building up my strong-qualities in all respects...

Let me fight against all kinds of cruelty as my service to God and His Compassion...

God bless...

Thinking makes the man...

We are basically made of our thoughts. Thoughts govern our behavours. Hence for any kind of deviant or abnormal behaviours, we should refer to our thoughts. The way we control our minds and thoughts, the results we receive in real life.

The pain and sorrow we get from life is basically the result of our past and present actions. The best way to try to enlighten our future path is to take lessons from past mistakes and try to control our minds to take firm decisions for present actions and future plans.

In this regard, it is best to live in the present by focussing our minds on real work.

I try to improve myself everyday by shedding off my past mistakes...

God blesses...

To keep cool all the time...

There are extreme variety of things happening around me. Every single person is having hir or her own way of looking at things. The most prominent aspect is ego and the identity crisis of a person. I enjoy a lot of fun out of these extreme materialistic way of living life.

I try to keep myself cool all the time by ignoring the variety. I try to be cautious about sharing my views with most of the people, as getting personal with so many people really produces a lot of painful experience. I say things which are necesary.I try to do things which are necessary and sufficient.

Keeping cool is really an art...

Most of our Problems vanish when one keeps cool...

God bless...

Good Communication Skill is not enough...

One must build up knowledge and skills in a specialized domain and then only good communication skills should be applied in practice...

There are many people who apply oratory power to cheat innocent people. Having good communication skills never ensure good level of knowledge of the person. We should also remeber that 'empty vessel sounds much'...

I nowadays assess people/students on the basis of their present works. First question I raise in my mind is : What work is being done by you and what is the hidden purpose behind your doing the work? Are you doing any fruitful work ?

I believe in 'real work' for me and for others who will be in touch with me in any manner.

I have also trying to speak as less as possible so as to stick to 'mind your business/real work' with the principle of DIN(Do It Now)...

God bless...

Monday, September 7, 2009

DO IT NOW principle really works wonder....

I was in the habit of procrastinating for any work. But I realised later in life that DO IT NOW(DIN) principle is the best means of getting things done.

On a daily basis, I am marking some important jobs with DIN. It is convenient for me to set priorities for those assignments.

Efficiency is dratically improved by the use of DIN-principle.

Postponing things is personal crime, so far as personal happiness and satisfaction are concerned...

God bless...

To free the mind from desires is difficult...but not impossible

To keep our minds under control, we must possess sufficient will-power which can only be enhanced slowly through practice of meditation and yoga.

Life, for me, is a series of mistakes I commit. I made a lot of promises to myself , but failed to keep them, as I am still a person of weak will. Things are improving slowly. I am getting good results of meditation and I take a longer time to react to any kind of noisy and violent situation...

I try not to react to any provocation. I have become more systematic in my professional activities.

The best way to find peace and happiness is to devote time for prayers and divine meditation.

Living in the present-II

The best option is to focus on the present affairs and work with pleasure. Is is a waste of time to think of the past losses/bad experience. It is good to be practical about future dreams ....

Switching off the thought-process...

I am trying to master the techniques of switching off my brain. I need some time to master the techniques. I am partly successful and I am feeling better.

It is highly relaxing for both body and mind. I had this idea of relaxing , but it got revived recently with the help of a friend.
Thinking is , most of the time, a waste of time and energy. Hence to preserve our vital energy, we should try not to think of anything for some period of time.

It is basically a method of meditation on vacuum or nothingness.

Let us give a try...
I think we can easily be energetic in all meaningful affairs of life.

God bless...

Presentation Skills-II

1. being assertive at times
2. to sound convincing at all times
3. being reasonable with one and all
4. ability to summarize
5. ability to ask questions
6. ability to speak clearly
7. ability to dramatize,when required
8. an attitude for developing rapport with one and all
9. an open, broad mind
10. ability of using genuine sense of humour
11. being 'involved' in the targeted job of informing and convincing
12. leading others by setting examples
13. to break monotony by involving the audience

An attitude to improve the self continuously can do the unthinkable

I used to think differently in my early life. I was wrong. I now realize that human vanity is the deathbed of one's inner quality.

I now feel that I almost destroyed myself by switching off creativity and innovative thoughts from my mind, by way of discarding many good ideas of others.

As the knowledge expands and mind broadens, I feel helpless at the limitless nature of knowledge...

Then I suddenly thought of improving myself on many fronts. I tried to be courageous. I suddenly discovered that life is an open book in which every human is uniquely rewarded with some great qualities and which betows such uniqueness on each personality. We can learn so many good things from people surrounding us without opening and reading a single book.

I now feel that we can get free study materials from real-life activities of our fellow beings. Instead of finding faults with others, we should be able to focus on the core qualities of a human being and absorb some finer qualities in our minds.

Everyday we should ask ourselves : Have I tried sincerely to improve myself ? Have I done my duties with improved attitude and skills ? Have I changed myself for the better?
Am I improving ?
Am I stagnating ?
Have I stopped finding faults with others?
Have I stopped gossiping about the weaknesses of others ?

Managing Time for a balanced living...

We should divide a day's time into some of the following components so as to ensure a cool daily life:

1. a clear picture of the day's work-routine should be carried till the time for night's sleep

2. to try to find innovative solution for the problems at hand

3. to respect quality of all works that need to be done

4. to relax the body and mind through application of sense of humor in every serious things of life; as taking life seriously is basically foolish

5. running after money is idiotic, as we shall get our dues for the actual work done by us

6. expecting anything in return to our helping anyone always brings pain to our hearts; hence it is better that we become as selfless as possible

7. regularity in physical exerise is a must for our fitness; and without fitness we can never be happy

8. we should surrender ourselves to the infinte compassion of God

9. we should say our prayers everyday

10.we should correct our mistakes and try to be a better person everyday

11. we should try control our minds to search for peace beyond materialistic pleasures of life

12. we should take genuine care of our family members with complete selflessness

13. we should never run after our own happiness, as happiness lies within our hearts and can be felt through our contribution for the happiness of others...

God bless...

Life is a struggle for freedom from sorrows

The root-causes of all my sorrows lies within my mind. A mind full of desires is a mind full of sorrows... My only struggle now is to fight against evils like smoking ... the greatest of all vices of life.

All my diseases originate from these vices I am trying to control.

Control over my mind has increased for last few years. But I need to achieve the highest level of control to lead a 'desire-free' life.

Peace lies within, not without...

The path to happiness and peace actually leads to our inner self. If we go on searching for peace outside in the material world, we never find it permanently. By controlling our senses and by focussing our minds on ourselves, we find heavenly peace.

Once we realise the Truth of life, we are no longer disturbed by external factors of life. We slowly become self-reliant. A self-reliant person only can lead a happy life. Dependence on others is a real vice of life...

Self-dependence, non-interference, and remembrance of God are the practical characteristics of a spiritual life.

We can find happy living only through 'detachment' from fruits of our honest actions.

Being a perfectionist helps a lot...

We are never perfect. We can not be so. But the touch of a 'perfectionist' attitudes does the miracle for us. Just give a try.
We should do everything with best efforts. Whatever we do, should have the touch of 'total quality management'. Total Quality Management means to delivering goods and services which are accepted by one and all with a sense of pleasure and without any kind of inhibition and negative attitudes.

We should deliver the goods.
We should take an action-oriented approach to everything in life.
Life is action,action and action...

But the ultimate principle should be: One job at a time. That way, we can finish 10-15 jobs in a day's time...The ultimate objective is to work with pleasure...
WORKING WITH PLEASURE(WWP) IS THE ONLY AIM OF MY PRESENT LIFE.
LIVING MEANS WWP.
LIVING ALSO MEANS LIVING ONE DAY AT A TIME...
TO LIVE IS TO FIGHT AGAINST VARIETY OF ODDS AND OBSTACLES.

To be 'outspoken'...

Being 'outspoken' solves majority of life's problems. It also creates some interpersonal problems. The crooked and the wicked can not tolerate 'outspokenness', as their minds are full of dirty ideas of doing harm to others. If we proceed towards the path of 'outspokenness', one must be honest to the core and at the same time, one must have extreme clarity of concepts.

Being outspoken and living life full can make us lions...
Courageous living is the finest achievement in one's life, I feel.

Taking everything easy...

Be cool all day long.
Work with pleasure only.
Accept realities and challenges , as it comes.
Be positive and live in the present...
Take time to laugh...
Take time to finish pending jobs...
Focus on one job at a time...till you complete 8-12 jobs in a day.
Eat and sleep in preset time only...
Be cool...
Be Bindas...
Think of death and God all the time...
Close your eyes to realize the illusion of this materialistic life.
Be rich in your mental and spiritual resources...
Creativity and innovation will keep us truly alive.
Relax while you work...
Never take job-stress by enjoying your work.

Middlepath-ism

Middle-path is the best path, while considering the ground realities of any situation. Extreme ideas about anything is bad. In any situation of anger, greed, lust, jealousy and ego, we should close our eyes for a few moments to meditate upon the Eternal Flow of Middlepathism in the existence of human civilization.

Middlepath cures all the basic conflicts and problems of family, profession and society.

Middlepathism(MPism) is based upon selflessness and unconditional love and compassion for one and all...

To remain cool and calm is the fundamental principle of MPism...

To survive in an unhealthy working place, we need to be tough in all manners

In today's world, working place is full of variety of characters. Most of the characters can not be trusted, as they lack basic integrity. They can not be trusted, because they are basically selfish in nature.

The only thing I need to have is toughness of the body and mind, as withstanding such mental pressure is not an easy task.

Whenever the going gets tough, we should become tougher and tougher...

I was very sick of the spine-less officials around me. Now I am habituated. But the fight goes on, as I have to survive and I have to feel happy almost all the time. I feel bad only people betray me and when spine-less idiots are stamped as intelligent by the super-chamchas and super-agents(dalal) in our so-called modern and civilized society...

Many people feel the same thing, but they are helpless as I am.

But my personal fight against spinelessness will go on.

God bless...

Having a strong personality...

A WEAK PERSONALITY WILL BE TRANSFORMED INTO A STRONG ONE , if the following principles are followed religiously:

1. Physical fitness and a hardy physical constitution are essential components of a strong personality

2. Mental alertness, good and effective speaking ability, creativity and innovation, ability of trouble-shooting, power of imagination, abstract thinking, a clear vision of the future, a clear knowledge-base in one's own domain of activities, vast general knowledge and a strong human network can do the miracle of being a strong person...

3. Ability of influencing others through meaning actions and clear & straight-forward speaking...

4. Personal Moral Courage and Power of taking vital decisions and actions which at times may be revolutionary

5. The ability to fight injustice, corruption at any level, at any time and at any place

Keeping personal commitments shows our real character...

To be a completely happy man we need to take the following things seriously:

1.we must take responsibility of what we do,
2.we must keep our commitments to others,
3.we must speak only in a measured way,
4.we must try to improve ourselves continuously,
5.we must not stop learning from others and from recent developments,
6.God is everything, everything else is simply meaningless, I feel. Hence Constant Remembrance of God(CRG) should be the only aim of our material lives, as we live each moment under the Grace of God.
7. 'Life is God, God life' I try to say to myself. Without complete surrendering to God, we rarely understand the Grand Nature of Compassion of God.
8. Future is unknown, hence fear of the future unknowns destroys our present. If we live our present with total honesty, outspokenness, diplomacy , sense of humor, politics , devoted work and selflessness for the sake of happiness of others, we need not fear anything. We must refine ourselves through selfless actions till we achieve complete serenity, peace and tranquility of the mind.
After attaining tranquility of the mind, we shall be able to realize the nothingness of material possessions.
We shall live the life of a hermit and we shall work with total selflessness.
9.we should also keep in mind that our words are more dangerous than we think they are. We should speak only to solve big problems, to help people in distress, only to ventilate our diplomatic opinions and to express our concern and selfless love for others.

To enjoy all these above-said benefits, we should know how to be FEARLESS TO THE CORE.
The key to Fearless & Courageous Living(FCL) is FACING REALITY WITH A STRONG PERSONALITY.

A STRONG PERSONALITY means to me :
1.holding on to complete personal honesty
2.clear knowledge-base about anything in which we are connected directly or indirectly
3.a refined and polished Communication Skills or Soft Skills

Outspokenness is the expression of the honests only

Outspokenness is generally viewed as a dangerous personal quality. It brings with it various troubles about personal relationships.

Most of our relations are based upon falsehood, hypocrisy, flattery, dishonesty and political alignments. Being outspoken also means hurting the ego of others.

I believe in outspokenness. But I think I should mix some twisted sweetness with my outspokenness, as the world has , in general, become a heaven for the scoundrels and the most corrupted.

To be straight-forward is my ideal. I must try hold to my ideal for my personal satisfaction.
I shall be straight-forward to safe-guard my family interests. If I am compelled, I shall be considering taking the path of politics and diplomacy. The path of politics and diplomacy is a zig-zag path in which personal stamina and determination is of paramount importance.

We should also know the art of self-defence.

We must have an excellent human and information network to be able to work efficiently.

We should not have an attitude of a 'yes-man' and chamcha.

God bless...

Keeping engaged in real work is the best medicine for depression...

Depression is the outcome of constant inaction and wasteful thinking for along duration of time. It is most proper to be engaged in meaningful professional and personal actions almost all the time. The daily action plan (DAP) should be stuck to religiously so that we shall get no time to waste in any manner. Life is action. When we get detached from actions for a long time, and get entrapped in 'contemplation', a time of frustartion and depression will come to our lives. The waste of time will come back to us as a poison. LIVING IN THE PRESENT(LIP) is therefore the best option before us. If we use the present moment properly in a meaningful manner, our future moments will be taken care of automatically.
Through meaningful actions for the self, family and society, we can purify our thoughts, actions and words on a continuous basis.
Self-purification with selflessless in everything can make happy.
Hence the core principle of living for me is : LIFE IS ACTION AND LIVING IN THE PRESENT

God bless...

Self-reliance is the greatest cure for lethargy

Self-reliance compels us to do many jobs in a day... Lethargy will slowly vanish, we truly depend on ourselves. Dependence on others is great killer of valuable time. The more self-reliant we are, the more happiness in our lives, because we are deliberately minimizing human-interventions in our personal lives.

I also want to self-contented life which is almost detached from human interference. I want to live a life full of 'self'-based actions, believing that within my 'self' lies the Ultimate Reality of the Universe i.e. God.

I have initiated the following projects:

SELF-LEARNING
SELF-TRAINING
SELF-MOTIVATED ACTIONS
SELF-TALKS
SELF-FINANCIAL MANAGER
SELF-HR-MANAGER
SELF-TIME-MANAGER
SELF-RELAXATION-MANAGER
SELF-LOGICAL-MANAGER
SELF-HEALTH-MANAGER

A life without prejudice, bias and malice towards anyone...

We can achieve true peace in life, only when we are free from the above-said vices of life...Selflessness in everything can bring about a radical change in our behaviors. God-dependence can help us in the matter...

Speak with the energy of a lion , whenever needed...

For a long time, I was talking about maintaining silence and peace...Now I will speak something very special about the art of speaking.

Effective speaking needs:

self-confidence,
dramatization,
articulation,
clarity,
energy,
enthusiasm,

and passion for doing better in whatever we speak for...

It needs a lot of practice and practical experience...
It sometimes requires special training...

The prerequisite for effective speaking is 'enthusiasm'...

Being in 'silent' mode cures many problems of life...

Silence with self-dignity and self-respect can do miracles for our personalities. The best way to fight provocation of any kind is to remain silent...

Politics is dirty, but we do not have much option...

I am speaking about politics in a professional field. Personal rivalry and jealousy are the causes behind all kinds of back-biting and dirty politics. We can not avoid such situations, as human beings are full of basic desires for ego-satisfaction, money, promotion and power.
In a profession, none can ever be my friend, as the desires for sadistic pleasures are still an integral component of life. Human consciousness has not yet reached a level in which humanity and compassion will be the yardstick of our civilization. Brutality is still reigning high in social life...

We can not avoid politics. There are cunning and shrew people all around. There are liars all around. None speaks the truth. No one fights for truth. But there are exceptions. The best way to fight politics is doing politics in 'silent' mode. We must also have guts and muscle power to face the challenges of dirty politics. People will never stop finding faults with me or you. We must face the situation with courage and honesty. If we are strong enough, we can survive. Otherwise we shall have to quit. People will laugh at us...Shall will not feel bad ?

Being good human being is not enough...

We should also be finest and shrewdest politicians only to survive...
We should do politics, without revealing that we are also deeply soaked in politics...
No one is perfectly idiot. And an idiot can do greatest harm to us, we must remember...

Behind all our actions, we must have a deep sense of gratitude to God, as His Compassion and Bliss made us whatever we are today. We must also accept the fact that God puts us under good and bad times almost periodically.

Poor health destroys creativity and innovation

I have experienced the fact long back. But my casual approach towards health made me suffer the worst kind of break-down of health in recent times. I am now recovered to a great extent. I have been punished by God for being irregular about yogic exercise for quite sometime. I must be harsh to myself about doing yoga regularly. I must not deviate from the path of yoga at any time in the future.

I must be cautious about taking food. I now want light food max. twice a day.

I should also reduce my workload(max13 hours day) to keep fit.

When I lose my creativity, due to illness, I feel as if I have died. From onwards I want to live the life of a lion. I must regain the vigour, vitality and energy of my earlier life...

I want to be 'outspoken' but 'sweet' at the same time. To be outspoken I need to be honest to the core... I think honesty and outspokenness would be my biggest personal assets for the rest of my life...

To fight against the inner vices...

All sins and vices are established in our inner minds. We only see manifestations of such socially unacceptable thoughts in outward flow of life. Everything lies in our minds. Our actions are the resultant effect of our inner thinking. Hence we need to cleanse our minds first to be able to live a life devoid of any kind of worries and tension. Fear, tension and worry are the three greatest killers of humanly living. If we cleanse our minds of any kind of wrongful thoughts and actions, our real actions will get purified. A man of such pure actions does not have to worry about anything.

Life is basically a process of purification of mind and a process of realizing Absolute Truth.

Once the Relative Truths of life are realized, we can try to live for the Absolute Truth or God.

Material desires are the only barriers to the path of realization.

Ego-driven material successes of others make our minds distracted and deviated. This is the greatest challenge of life. We should know how to keep distanced from the materially rich people by hook or by crook. We should keep distance from the people whose minds are full of greed and ambition for the basic elements of material living i.e. Ego-Sex-Power and Money (ESPM).

We are supposed to be highly diplomatic about the above actions. It is always better to be physically and mentally distanced from the people whose lives are based upon ego-driven material successes...

Creation is the ultimate source of pleasure...

Being creative all the time should be the only aim of life. All pleasures and happiness become meaningful only when we are at our creative best. Creativity can hardly be developed through training, as it is basically a self-generative process...

When some new ideas come to our minds, we should verify them in the light of our past experience. Then we should implement those ideas with the help of various resources available to us. The process of implementation and creation is full of hurdles and obstacles. We need an extra grit and determination to implement our ideas. We need real guts to change the things that exist. To be gutsy and outspoken is not an easy task. We need to be honest to core. We need to work with pure devotion...
There is no shortcut to success, I believe.
If I achieve success by taking adopting any kind of falsehood, I will be punished by the time...

A mind without worry and fear emits natural intelligence

Be free, as we are born free.
Till we can free ourselves from worry and fear, we can never achieve the highest level of consciousness and intelligence...

Intelligence makes us calm and quite, as we know that we are actually doing nothing except performing our actions under God's will. Once we feel God we truly realize that God's Love and Compassion flows unconditionally to all us and that we can try to reciprocate His Love by being Loving and Compassionate to one and all.

Let us face life as it comes...
Instead of dancing at the tune of others, we should develop our own style of doing things.
Let us face the challenge of life by being cool and calm all the time. Let us accept the ground realities by attacking at the root of problems mentally, as being realistic in words may mean 'being harsh' to a person or to a system.

Life is action

'Life is action' means to me the ultimate reality of living a life. Everything else in life has only temporary nature. The impression of our actions remain even after we are no more. Basically we live in our actions.

Friday, May 22, 2009

Devotion(Bhakti) is the ultimate achievement in life...

It is a lifelong process to be a devotee. But once the process is initiated in that direction, one feels better. A devotee explains everything in the light of spiritual devotion. Miracles of God can be felt at every moment, if we can try to be sincere devotees of God. Devotion originates from complete surrendering to God.

If we are true devotees of God, we can be free from fear.
Fearlessness is the key to enjoyment of peace and tranquility.
Fear kills us. The moment we gather courage by 'LIVING IN THE PRESENT', we realise that 99% of our fears and worries are baseless, and imaginary.

Facing the real life is a great teacher...

If we can learn lessons from real life with an open mind, we shall discover that we are basically in touch with enormous amount of information. Reading never completes our knowledge. Application-oriented knowledge is more important, as knowledge without application aspects of the same bears little meaning.
Applied intelligence, and development of common sense, grit and determination to act for a noble purpose are the keys to the path of success and happiness...
Mere bookish knowledge without specific applications can never bring us true satisfaction.
Whatever we do and think about must have human applications. Leading a life only for self-interests and self-pleasure is dry and monotonous.
To come out of dry monotony of life, we should dedicate all our actions, thoughts and sayings for the benefit of other fellow beings. This unbounded selflessness only can nurture our happiness, satisfaction and peace at the personal level.
The deepest joy in life is to work with selflessness and detachment.
To feel happy all the time, we need to work with detachment.
To work with detachment and disinterestedness, we need blessings of God.
To be blessed, we need to pray to God on a regular basis.
A life without prayer is a life without direction...
A direction-less life is painful and full of misery.
Hence I try to lead a God-dependent life...
I am only trying...

My experience in teaching

1. It gives a lot of mental satisfaction
2. Interaction with young ones keeps me dynamic, flexible and open to new ideas
3. Today's students are generally very intelligent and talented; a teacher needs to act as a catalyst in bringing out the hidden talents
4. It is highly exciting to address new batches of students every year
5.I learn a lot from my students
6. It is not boring, if I continue to learn new things and if I try to improve myself all the time
7.It is good for those who possess good speaking power
8. Teaching still commands respect from the really good learners
9. Lastly, one tries to remain young at heart all the time.

Frustration kills us slowly

Frustration is the result of our failures in achieving our goals. It is better to set goals which are quite practical .
We should keep many options open before us.
We should learn lessons from our failures.
Accepting failure as an invitation towards future successes will make us more positive in attitudes.
We know: success is never-ending , and failure is never.

God bless...

Managing time is very crucial for personal stability...

I have tried to evolve a new routine of work for myself, to make the best possible use of daily time. I believe in 'living one day at a time'. One day means to me:

1. Getting up at 6.00am
2.Office at 8.00am
3.Exit from office at 4.00pm
4.Following Daily Action Plan (DAP) of the previous night religiously at office
5. I take enough time to laugh with people I like
6. I try to keep cool all the time
7. I don't take life seriously, except depending on God
8.I live in the present
9. I believe in Constant Remembrance of God(CRG)
10. I sleep 1hour in the evening and then I devote 3hrs a day in personal business activities
11. I try to devote 45 minutes in yoga and meditation
12.I go to bed at 11pm(sharp)
13. The best thing in my life is sleeping and relaxing...
14.I meet my research guide once or twice a month
15. I try to drink 5 litres of water per day to keep fit...
16.My only regret is that I could not leave smoking
17."Sense of humor" is my greatest possession. I feel relaxed after uncontrolled laughing...
18.I try to solve practical ,professional problems with Applied Managerial Innovation & Creativity(AMIC)
19. I am trying to lead a medicine-free life through yoga and meditation...
20. I have a dream to lead a completely selfless life...I can only try...
21. I try to encourge young minds for more creative activities with human values in their lives

Middle-Pathism

I believe in 'excess of anything is bad'. Therefore I am trying to find a fine balance between the extremities of anything in life. Any kind of extreme thinking is bad for anybody and for any society. Human desires ,being limitless, can only be controlled by balanced and humble living. Instead of running after more pleasure and luxury in life, we should concentrate on more creative and innovative activities.
Creativity can give us the highest form of pleasure and happiness. Only material richness can never bring us true satisfaction, as being rich is normally associated with extreme 'ego'. "Ego" is the greatest killer of simple happiness.

God bless...

Change is an inevitable property of Nature

Everything in the universe is under change and transformation. Human thinking and behaviors are also undergoing change with the proceed of time.
Ideas change with time.
Attitudes also change , but slowly...
It is always better to be dynamic in both thoughts and actions.
We should be able to learn things which are needed for a modern living.
Materialistic ambitions are basically limitless and hence are the causes of all miseries of life. To get out of the unbounded desires and ambitions, one needs to be as selfless as possible in thoughts, actions and speeches. This realization comes only after a lot of sufferings. The path of material renunciation can lead us to a peaceful living. But the peace of mind will be established only when we master the art of renunciating, and the art of selfless living. Running after Name-Fame-Pleasure-Wealth-Money-Desire for Immortality can never give us peace. Rather, we shall be deviated from the path of peace, tranquility and happiness.
But to be away from these elements is never so easy. It needs continuous practice...

Taking responsibility is never easy

For taking any responsibility at personal, professional and social level , one must have a clean mind. Cleansing the mind is a tough task, as it is a continuous process. For having a clean mind, we must try to eliminate vices like dirty politics, finding faults with others, and violating the basics values of life like honesty, integrity and compassion for all beings.

Holding to the ideals of life is possibly the most challenging aspect of life. Peace of mind flows from those ideals.

To be is to be with God and His Blessings.

Financial concentration

I believe in earning money through honest means. My personal business ventures need to be expanded. I have already taken some steps in this direction. My target is to double my income in a few months. For all these to happen in reality, I have to devote about 14 hours a day to organized activities. To work 14 hours a day, I have to keep fit through yoga, meditation and drinking of at least 5 litres of water per day.
I have tried to learn lessons from the past ventures. I have rectified many of my business-related drawbacks. I have decided to devote 3hours of focused work for my business activities.

Serving an organization is quite different from implementation of business ideas. I am nurturing these ideas for last 14 years. I have not been successful, because of my physical lethargy. Now, I am trying my mind to do the job in the best possible manner.

God bless...

Creating examples before others instead of theorising the obvious

'Action' is the keyword of a life. We can say so many things about what 'should be' and 'what should not be'. But most of us fail to stick to what we say. Our lives are our actions. Through our daily actions, we can directly or indirectly express ourselves in variety of ways. These expressions are our 'words' to others. Mere uttering of the 'words' will have a temporary effects on others. These words get tremendously powerful when we are actually doing as we say.

We may under pressure for our work. But the pressure gets reduced, we work with pleasure. We should try to do one job at a time more systematically so that we finish our job in time. Being in a hurry at the last moment means nonsense to me.
To bring sense to what we do, we must work with greater responsibility, seriousness, and punctuality.
Hence the principle is : "I am not in a hurry".

Expanding the mind beyond the 'ego'

Through long years of practice, I have come to a conclusion that 'I' is nothing. By thinking in this way, we can destroy most of our problems. The best way to serve our own ego is being deeply engaged in positive and fruitful actions. There is a clean and pure human in every human being. The environment makes the difference in bringing out the real qualities. To do great jobs, we need only minimum resources, only if we have the will power to cling on to our purpose.

We should have a sense of purpose for anything we undertake. We must have great sense of responsibility. We must keep our commitments and words. We should be heart-oriented, and not brain-oriented only.
Most of our illnesses will be cured by our broad-mindedness, I believe.
If we can go beyond the self-interests, we shall land up in a new world of happiness.
Real happiness lies in giving.
Real happiness lies in inspiring others, recognising talents, and assuring others of your inner goodness.
External goodness is not enough.
We should express our goodness through real-life work.

God bless...

Newer Professional Ventures

Serving an organization as perfectly as possible is the most important for most of the people. But ,if we think beyond, we can find many other avenues in which we can contribute. We can give a lot of other services to the society, if we can retain high level of physical and mental energy. Some services may some money and others may be completely selfless. We need a special attitude to free ourselves from 'frog in a well' attitude. We must break the shell of selfishness and self-interests to expand our mind and vision. Then we shall realise that what we are doing are not sufficient. We need to do more. We need to spread the ideas of selflessness by being selfless. We need to improve ourselves on a continuous basis. We should try to elevate our mind to contribute something for the interests of others. Nurturing of lofty and big ideas are generally not supported by our environment. In that case, we should be tough enough to take forward our ideas and ideals. We must be tough in this matter. Grit and determination are the chief ingredients of holding on to a virtuous life.
The ultimate objective of education is to be good person and a good citizen.
Education never ends.
Learning never ends.
Through application of our education, we can try to be prosperous in infinitely many ways.
We should be successful business-thinking.
We should have a broad mind to be able to absorb lessons from various sources.
At the end, we should apply our education, culture, and taste in real everyday life.
Then only can I try to a complete man...

God bless...

Keeping cool all the time;
Not to think much about the obscure future;
Destroying thinking about the past;
Keeping hope alive for God-realization;
Changing myself every moment for the better;
Taking light food and drinking more water for fitness;
Devoting some for yoga and meditation;
Helping others at the cost of my personal comfort;
Finally it is the SELFLESS WORK that keeps me free from all kinds of turmoils of life...
I think least about myself and I should keep it up.
'What others say about me' hardly matters, as I am almost 'all-knowing' about myself;
I know I live for others;
I try to every being as the unique creation of God;
Variety is external, Unity is eternal...
God bless...

A spirit of sacrifice

Nowadays we find that a very few people are ready to sacrifice their personal comfort and happiness for others. Most of the problems in family life originate from thia attitude. People have become very adamant about their pursuit of personal happiness. Marriages are broken. Relations sour.
I have experimented on human nature for last 20 years and found that happiness lies in working selflessly and in sacrificing personal comfort and pleasure for the those scoundrels(who are adamant about their own comfort and happiness) we care for.
Happiness is just a state of mind in which we feel lost in our own world without bothering about what get and what we do not get.
Giving is an art of living.
I try to live with minimum resources.
God bless...

What's life to me?

Life is almost undefined. To me it means "be yourself". It also means "living in the present". To me it is also a fun. Life is full of extreme humor to me. In every egoistic person, I find a joker par excellence. Life is cool. Life is handling rough and tough people. Life is tackling money-hungry ,blunt-headed so called professionals.
Life means 'betrayal' by the trusted friends. Change of lobby. Reversal of attitude and words.
Life means change of roles.
Life is love defined in terms of 'give and take'...
Life is shameless selfishness to many.
Life is 'ego' that I am extraordinary.
I am never serious about life!!! Serious about what ?
Life to me is a Divine Creation which is nurtured spiritually by a few persons only.
Life is divine.
Divinity is Consciousness and Consciousness never dies.
Hence life is deathless. Bith and death are the changes of states......

God bless...

Treating my students....

I try to treat my students like my children. I personally believe in freedom and liberty. But sometimes I need to be rigid to some students. These are exceptions. I use words of caution for my students occasionally. I think I am punctual. I am fast also. But I have deliberately reduced my speed so that all the students are benefited from my class. I have a desire to be a very good teacher by improving my teaching skills.

I treat my students with impartiality and heart-felt affection. I believe in enormous human potential. It is really difficult to judge a student by academic performance only. I never tried to be popular. But my attitudes as a human being are enjoyed by majority of the students.

No one is so bad,it seems to me.
Hence I take the middle path for taking any kind of decisions.
The attitude of 'forgiving' is my only strength. At the same time, I try to maintain 'strict' personal discipline all the time. My students hence perceive me as a person on whom they can rely.

God bless...

Doing one job at a time is a great philosophy

I am now in the habit of doing one job at a time, by ignoring the ones that will be done in the near future. I also try to apply 'do it now' principle with the great idea of 'living in the present'. In my earlier time I used to waste majority of my time in past-based or future-based thinking. That was a great wastage.
I now carry out 10-12 component-jobs a day and go to sleep by 11.00pm(sharp) by switching the mobile phone. I normally do not deviate from these 10-12 jobs of the day.
I never worked hard in my life.
I do not want to work hard at all.
I believe in systematic work for a few hours of the day, only to justify my salary.
I do work , but I try to avoid pressure...

God bless...

I have increased my patience...

It was long time back when I became impatient for something. I still avoid things which will put pressure on my patience. Things still go wrong. But I have decided not to react to things I can not change. I find that people do wrong things. I keep shut up, thinking that it is waste of time to intervene in ordinary matters. I have changed my attitude because I can not fight alone with the negative and rowdy faces of the changing society and culture. At the same time, I have faith in truth and justice. I know there will be correction and rectification on the part of the wrong-doers. They will be punished in some future time.
I never claim that I am good and that I do no wrong. But I try to do things in a manner in which humanity and human considerations get my personal priority. I am doing it for a long time. I am on the path continual self-purification.
The values and culture we admired so much in the past have changed to a great extent. It is now an age of 'quick money',quick success, quick pleasure, quick communication, instant action,result-orientation in everything, give and take in everything, quick anger, quicker hunger-satisfaction, quick love, quick forgetting, quickest ungratefulness, shameless lies, and shameless self-interests.

I have a different way of living. I am slowed down the pace of my life. I am not in a hurry for anything. My ambition is to lead a slower and simpler life. I have with least number of long-term plans, as I have least faith in future. I try have some faith in the present, as present moment drives all my thoughts and actions. I have now accepted my failures and drawbacks. I now try to live for my family members. I try to keep my mouth shut, as I have been outspoken to the wrong people many times in the past. I want a simple living for myself. I have need for money, still I hate earning money through unfair means. I have lived a full life. Now I want to help others who find it difficult to live with personal integrity.

Living in the present can do the miracle

"Living In the Present" (LIP) has been the best philosophy of my life till now. LIP with Enchanting of Divine Names(EDN) is the only way out of all my problems. I failed many times in the implementation of LIP. I tried again and again to get myself into LIP. I have been successful to a great extent.
Why to bother about distant future ?
Our future is deeply founded in our present actions. Each of the present actions has its distinct future. We must act with great honesty, dedication and sincerity to make our future more predictable. But everything lies in the hands of God, I believe.
Hence my present and future are dedicated to God only.
To me life is a prayer to God and sincere actions with selflessness.

God bless...

Improving myself on continuous basis

I have taken some bold steps in recent times. I am now ready to face the present moment in a way different from my past approach. I have already developed a Present and a Future Action Calender for myself. I have already in research and development activity in HR. I am a better time-manager now. I work on the basis of Daily Action Plan(DAP). I now act on "do in now" principle. I have become more efficient in my professional duties. I am trying to apply TQM in my personal capacity.
I have increased my energy level.
I have stopped talking nonsense with others.
I try to value my time.
I try to keep my words to myself.
I try to live in the present with prayer to God.
I am trying to eliminate the imaginary fears from the mind. I want destroy fear of all kinds. I now try to avoid unnecessary speaking. Sometimes I become a Silent Man (SM) and talk to myself mentally to be self-controlled and self-disciplined professional.
I interact regularly with my PhD guide.
I am also trying to improve my personal earning steadily.
I try to be in a state of Deep Mental Relaxation(DMR) most of the time. I am trying to be prepared for extreme circumstances like possible loss of job for economic recession.

I now try to focus myself on Result-Oriented Professional Actions(ROPA) only.
I try to one day at a time.
"Living in the Present" is a great solution to my personal life...

God bless...

Professional values...

Professionalism means, to me, doing justice to professional productivity with high level of honesty, integrity and responsibility. The very first thing is to justify our salaries by doing enough work and by keeping enough records. We should be worker first and leader later. Working in an private organization is highly challenging, as the situations have less predictability. We must be able to deliver the goods and at the same time, we should be aware of the political undercurrents of the environment.
If we work with honesty, punctuality and responsibilty and keep records of the actions taken by us, we can enjoy a good time.
The secret of success lies in 'Working With Pleasure'(WWP). Any kind of mental or emotional barrier will destroy the pleasure of working. Hence we should be mentally tough to handle all kinds of bad situations. We should try to be a perfectionists as far as possible to keep our mental toughness intact.
We should display sufficient respect to the seniors in the organization. We should explain things with outspokenness , without being rude in any manner. We should have enough self-confidence to face various tough situations. WWP needs a lot of guts and toughness. We must maintain a strong body language that displays our honesty, integrity and sense of responsibility...

Let us work with pleasure and be happy all the time.

God bless...

Clarity

Clarity of concepts about anything is a great boon for living a cool life. Clear concepts and common sense will lead to a better life.
If the fundamentals of anything clear, we shall be able to expand our knowledge any time we want.
I am trying to do the thing in the mathematical laboratory of my brain. I try to review my experience-based concepts on a daily basis.
The greatest challenge of my life is to constantly improve my communication skills. Throwing of words is the most challenging aspect of my personal life. I am trying to research into the subject of Communication Skills, Personality Grooming By the Self, & Human Values and Ethics. I have found that 'power' flows from the emphasised 'words' we can use in practical life. I have also found that self-styled humorist can live a more healthy life. We should have good sense of humor.
To be in peace we should remain silent at senitive situations. To avoid conflicts, we should speak with caution.

God bless...

Dirty politics in teaching profession...

Apparently, teaching seems to be a noble profession. From a distance, it is so. In reality, it is still a noble profession. But we , the teachers, are not free from internal politics. The problems are
1.back-biting
2.high level of ego
3.using students for personal gains and survival in the job
4.greed for cheap popularity and spoiling the academic attitude of the students
5.saying bad things about other teachers to the students
6.trying to establish that he or she is the best and the only well-wisher
7.trying to set up illegitimate source of power in one's self
8.Not imposing any kind of discipline on students to maintain cheap and dirty popularity

and many others...

The teachers have to work under such variety of situations.
Hence teaching is not a benign profession. There are many other professional hazards. Still we should keep hopes alive. We should strong enough to face realities.

A special day...the 9th April,2009

The final year students of Electrical Engineering of Techno India celebrated their last day in college classes with photo session with the teachers ,and cake distribution among all. It was a nice occasion having youthful vibrance and energy. The students were very good in their approach. I rarely find such large number young, bright and smiling faces nowadays. The team spirit , togetherness, brotherhood, and friendship among the students were evident from their behaviours. They got lost in childlike behaviours and funny things.
It was a pure pleasure for all.
To enjoy we need an open heart and a free mind.
In teaching the most beautiful thing is cordial acceptance of a teacher by the majority of the students. The acceptance gives us a lot of satisfaction.
Mixing up with young minds possibly keeps us younger and dynamic...
Life should be full of dynamism and creativity, I think.

Elimination of fear is a challenging task...

Fear is a complex combination of our emotional perceptions. We perceive things in our own different ways. Our unique nature defines the way we look at things. I have experimenting on fear of objects, events and people. Fear had been the most dominating component of my life for majority part of my life. Fear of 'anything can happen'. The imaginative bent of mind is mostly responsible for such constant fear. The real thing mostly different from what I imagine. Then I had a lot of self-talk about the whole thing. To live with courage and alertness is real living, I realised much later in my life. Then I decided to face the situation and I believed in 'realism' about all things about economic, political ,legal and social aspects of living. I am trying to live now 'one day at a time' at a medium pace. I was a very fast man once upon a time and I used to take a lot of hasty decisions. I used to commit a lot of mistakes also. Then I changed myself a lot by adopting a 'middle path' for all kinds of realities of life. I still have fear reigning over my mind. Most of the fears are somehow related to 'bad' people in the society. I decided to be bad with bad people. I could not become that. I then tried to face them. After one or two failures, I became successful. The more I fear, the greater the pain I receive. I used to believe in 'compassion' in a human heart. I still believe in that. But I accept that all human beings are not in the same level of 'compassion'. The brutal nature exists almost everywhere. I know I need to stand erect and face the situation. There is no alternative/option. Facing the tough people with equal toughness is the only solution. I need to create a drama of being 'bad', though I know I am not bad. I constantly try to live in the present and try to face the realities without inviting imaginary fears. Spiritual Living is the only solution to all such problems. I try to live a life of my personal choice by consatantly improving the level of my personal honesty and integrity. Self-purification and self-discipline have become a part and parcel of my life. I have reached a state of tastelessness about living a life. Life makes so happy and nothing makes so depressed. Happiness , to me, is just a mental state in which I feel I am OK. That's all. I accept myself as I am. I bother least about what others think about me. I am not here to please everybody. I try to become well with almost everyone. I have no such practical role models or heros. I believe in God. I try to leave all the results of my duties and responsibilities to God only.

Finer qualities of life needs more attention...

In all our actions we should try to have a fine touch of the following human qualities:
1. Selfless love
2.Good Manners
3.Compassion
4. Commitment
5.Responsibilty
6.Duty
7.Self-esteem
8.Affection
9. Honesty
If our search for money is coupled with these attributes, we are bound to be happier. Success of a person should not measured on the basis of money earned by a person.
Everyone needs money. I also need money. I should not be blind to all other aspects of life. Money is bad, when it is in wrong hands. It is always better to earn money with honesty. Having huge money does not ensure a good life for ourselves. It needs some more inner qualities to enjoy life with perfect harmony, happiness and peace.
To Be happy all the time, we need to ask ourselves continually " Are we honest to the core?".
"Are we Greedy?", "Are we dutiful?"

God bless...

Words are very powerful...

Properly selected words in our speech can do miracle for the audience. Appropriate stress on the selected words will be highly effective. A single wrong word can massacre the whole speech. Speaking is an art involving the use of power of words.
We should be extremely cautious about use of words. Public speaking is like playing with fire of words.
An aspect that needs our attention is the attitudes of the speaker. A good public speaker always speaks with energy, enthusiasm and a sense of responsibility.
Words can do a lot of harm, if we do not use them with extreme caution.
It is better to speak as less as possible keeping in mind that we have to speak with force and vigor as per the need of the time and place...

God bless...

Any kind of misunderstanding?

I am trying to write things which seem relevant to me. Nobody should misunderstand me in the sense that I am trying to influence them in any manner. I never say I am the only good man living in the world. I am an ordinary spiritual seeker who wants to think differently. I write only to search for some like-minded people. I write because I feel that writing keeps me engaged in some sort of creative action.
Who am I to impose my opinion on even a single person?
I write to generate food for thought for others.
I talk straight from my heart.
I never claim I am right.
I am possibly writing for the sake of writing...
I feel good. I write to share ideas with my students and friends. I have least faith in commercialised approach to writing. I am certainly not a money-hungry person thinking of money and its power.
I really think beyond money...
That's all...

God bless...

Money is powerful...

Money matters a lot in having a decent living. From morning to evening, we hear talks about money. Hunger for money keeps many people survive. Many people can go to any extent to earn money. Many people get rich overnight by adopting dishonest means and become God-like figures to many. Through money power, they want to earn name and fame and power. I am personally least bothered about such people. I do not want to know whether they are happy or not.
I believe money can not buy happiness for me.
I believe that I should earn money through honest means only.
Being rich is not bad. Being rich by adopting fraudulent means is really bad.
Being rich ensures social security!!!
No problem.
I personally try to be distanced from the rich.
Richness in money does not guarantee richness of the heart, I believe.
But earning money by honest means is possibly good.
Creating huge wealth only for personal good is no good.
Having large amount of money in the bank does not ensure our happiness.
Everything does not happen as per our wishes, hopes and desires.
We need to think beyond...
Do we have the time to think beyond ?
Time is money, a saying goes.
I am trying to think beyond...

God bless...

A constant endeavor to improve...

I am trying to improve myself. I face a lot of problems. The biggest problem is caused by my physical lethargy. I am a very lazy person from my childhood. A lazy person can hardly achieve anything in life, I believe.
I never tried to do better in life.
Even now, I do not have any desire to succeed and prosper.
I believe in doing the least possible work for a system.
I have no faith in hard work.
I believe in different things altogether. All these beliefs originated from my faith in God. I actually never stop working, I believe. My vision of success and prosperity is also different. Thereby I lead a cool life. In material life I believe : Duty first, duty last. I try to do minimum work for this principle of life. Hence I can keep myself free most of the time. A high-flying life is not my cup of tea, I firmly believe.
I need minimum resources for my survival.
I survive now to feel God all the time upto my last breath.
I prefer to live a life full of complete freedom...

God bless...

I sometimes write to spend my time...

I have been writing daily of events for last so many years only to keep track of thoughts. Then one friend taught me how to do the same thing in a different way through internet. Hence my favorite pastime has been to update this site.
I want to write with more and more clarity in future.
I am not expecting any response from my personal views.
I believe everyone acts on his basic nature.
But environment is an influential and powerful tool. Even our basic nature changes slowly under the action of environmental factors.
When we suddenly change, people call us mad.
Let us change ourselves slowly but steadily. The change agents are our gurus and role models. A guru shows us the path to perpetual happiness. But who cares ? Our basic nature forces us to take the same old path again and again. We suffer and then we learn...
Learning is life.
The lessons of the past get converted into intuitive wisdom.
Wisdom is a process of knowing God.
Knowing God completely is just impossible.
I think it is hence better to feel God.
It is good to try.
Let us try.
There is nothing to lose. There is no material gain also. What we may receive is a philosophy of life. A way of explaining of events happening all round us to ourselves.
When we realise that we are nothing but souls, days of our sorrows would be over...
There exists happiness in sorrows and vice versa. We possibly need have an attitude of looking at things differently...
If we can move beyond pleasure and pain by our actions, we shall be truly happy...
Let us try...

God bless...

The ultimate objective of my life...

Attainment of Devotion (Bhakti).
A state in which I would lose my identity in totality ...with a feeling of complete surrender to my Supreme Lord.
I have my own ideas and dream...
The biggest question I ask myself every moment is : Who am I ?
I am getting the same eternal answer that 'I' do not exist...He only exists without any boundary of Time...

God bless...

A few hours in solitude...

Solitude and self-talk can help in gaining insight into the specific problems of life. Prayer in solitude help us cleansing the mind of the memories of our wrong actions.
Self-purification through prayer with devotion is the way to happiness.
We are tightly bound by our desires and passions. To be free, we need to destroy our desires one by one.
It is the toughest thing in life.
We can only try to understand the nature of worldly pleasures and decide our course of action in the future.
It is a long process to realise the nature of true happiness.
A state of true happiness lies in a neutral state lying between happiness and sorrow. The exact location can be found by each individual separately through meditative knowledge and intution.
Finding the source of true happiness depends upon individual choice.
To me , happiness does not lie in clinging to material possessions and pleasures.
It possibly lies in our mind.
A wandering mind can rarely mind happiness.
I feel happy when I am in a state of meditation on God.
Dry meditation never helped me.
Meditation on Omnipresence and Omniscience of God is helping me a lot in trying to cleanse my mind.
The more I try to depend on God, the more clarity develops in my mind...
I am trying to cleanse my mind with God's Grace.
I think others can also give a try.
I have nothing to lose, as I do not possess anything. I want to remind myself all the time God's compassion is my possession...

God bless..

Breaking the shell of Illusion(Maya)...

The most difficult thing in life is to realise the action of Illusion. Illusion keeps us engaged in material activities. We remain entagled in our desires and their fulfillment. If we do not enjoy life and its pleasure, we fail to realise the nothingness. Hence in the early period of life, one may enjoy life in such a manner that one understands the transitory material pleasures in complete depth. After realising the temporary nature of material happiness, we then should focus our minds on our own selves.
Self-enquiry is the path to self-realization.
I am constantly trying to destroy the mind which creates the state of joy and sorrow.
Mind is behind all our unhappiness.
Mind creates 'selfishness'.
"Selfishness" is the root cause of our unhappiness.
Selflessness is the answer to all problems.
A truly selfless personality is Divine...
Selfless work can elevate our lives to a higher level of consciousness and peace.
We shall come to believe that we are the souls , not the bodies with names...

God bless...

Doing no harm to anyone...

Thinking of doing harm to others itself is a disease. To be cool and happy all the time, we must eliminate the thoughts and actions which will bring distress to others. Who am I to punish others ?
I can only punish myself for my wrongful actions of the past!!!
A person with a compassionate heart and a sense of forgiveness is the best human being.
I personally try to be least harmful to others.
We can do harm to others by our speech and actions...
Hence we need to continuously purify our words and actions...
This process of self-purification gives me a lot of satisfaction and pleasure...
I can not change the world, but I can change myself for the better.
I have changed myself a lot. I am still trying to revolutionise my personal life by eliminating my desires and minimising the cost of living...
I want to make more personal sacrifices to make my family members have a better time in the future... I aspire to live like a 'Sannyasi' for the rest of my life...
I am trying to be a pure vegetarian.
I wish to live on least quantity of food.
I am trying to achieve a state of 'constant remembrance of God'.
I wish to speak as less as possible.
I wish to slow down the pace of my personal life...
I wish to live a God-dependent life for the rest of my life...
I wish to remain distanced from any kind of publicity.

God bless...
