Thought of the day: the art of living

Life=work+play+fun & humour+ high level of physical & mental fitness+ intellectual clarity+spiritual realization+keeping our mouth as far as possible+....

Thought of the day: attaining clarity of thoughts and actions

We need to read and absorb biographies of great men and women as far as possible......Inspiration from their lives will enlighten us and hence greater heights of purely genuine thoughts and actions...Slowly we shall be moving towards perfection in the arts of specialized field of activity....

Clarity of concepts will certainly bring clarity of actions that we take...

Clarity in actions will have the highest chance of attaining the desired outcomes.....

We should stall all types of actions,if we are confused about any concept/idea/action..

Thought of the day:life is action, not contemplation

After long years of working experience, I have come to the conclusion :
Life is truly a bunch of actions, not contemplation...

If we can slowly develop finer values of the art of living, and follow ethical codes of conduct in work-place as well as in personal life,
we shall have the greatest chance of living with peace and happiness...

To earn, we need to work hard...

To remain peaceful, we should maintain ethical practices...

To be more successful, we should apply principles of management in our daily actions on any field...

To develop effective interpersonal relations and rapport, we need to patient & tolerant about the external world, and talk as less as possible...

When we speak, we should speak only effectively and clearly....

Thought of the day: spirituality in action

Anything connected to spiritual practice of one's life should be extremely personal and organized form of religious practices is beyond my comprehension. We should look inwards, inwards, inwards in order to rediscover ourselves at the personal level on a daily basis. This continuos process of self-reinvention will lead us to more clarity about human actions and civilization , and also about existence as a whole.
We should therefore analyse our

  • Strengths
  • Weaknesses
  • Opportunities
  • Threats/Challenges

so that we can continuously evolve our inner qualities and virtues & create a sober, cool & calm, peace mental and spiritual environment in our own selves...

Thought of the day: Anger Management

To be creative on a daily basis, we should concentrate on things that requires 'changes' and we should take genuine initiatives to bring about the changes slowly but steady.
Things do not change overnight. It takes a lot of planning and hard work to communicate and coordinate to make the possible changes visible.
The biggest change required is in the attitudes and thinking process and a genuine urge to do something that will be of benefits to the society....

As people dissipate a lot of time and energy in actions arising out of jealousy, and anger, the net outcome is really frustrating and violent.
We should permanently delete these negative emotions from our minds, instead we should be able to transform negative energies into more and more creative activities...
Anger is a destructive emotion that kills intelligence and thereby invite violent and destructive activities....
We should convert anger into more fruitful and creative endeavours so that our inner virtues blossom and we could be able to serve the society in the interest of common people and youngsters....

Let us abandon anger and love peace in our personal capacities...

Thought of the day: single-minded devotion

The best way to survive and win over the material pains of living a life, I could find some way-out ,such as the following:
·       Continuously striving to control mind-monkey as mind-tortoise; it requires daily practice by meditation-like exercises
·       Single-minded devotion (SMD) to one’s own activities  is the best cure for all ills of life
·       Mental concentration only help us realize the truth and philosophy of life
·       A self-realized soul will always keep away from the race for name, fame, wealth, money, pleasure, power etc., as a continual process of attaining higher levels spiritual enlightenment
·       it is best for health and soul to maintain silence as a matter of daily practice, By stopping talking rubbish all the time or most of the time
·       SMD on any action in an isolated condition could revolutionize the whole process, thus resulting into excellence in any field of human activities
·       It is always best to avoid ‘sights-and-sound’ pollution, by deliberate action on one’s own part
·       Principles of management are highly effective in our daily life and these should be learnt and practiced at personal level
·       SMD- based actions will surely produce enormous personal satisfaction at the end of the day
·       Personal honesty is the only prerequisite for getting fine results

Thought of the day: interpersonal skills

Interpersonal skills occupy a prominent place in leadership development process at the professional work-place. It is also the pivotal point for a happy family life. Personal happiness lies only in the internal frame of mind and the spirit of happiness is radiated to the surroundings and creates an ambiance of happiness and peace. Hence the core idea is to learn to be happy at the first place and then the environment will automatically tune to our inner happiness.
To make others happy, one must learn to be happy. The you make happy through applications of your interpersonal skills and relations of mutual trust will finally be your hard-core followers. Through guidance and counseling, we finally win the hearts of the other people and silently follows your principles, ideals, ideas and style.
The basic foundation of building interpersonal skills is:
·        Having a lot of patience and listening skills
·        Natural pleasantness in our unique style of behavior
·        Helping people in need without any consideration of self-interest & expectations
·        Keeping confidentiality & commitment intact
·        Keeping honesty & trust in practice
·        Dedication to our assigned responsibilities
·        Acting with highest level of integrity and transparency in all matters
·        Never to find faults with others, but to perfect our own actions
·        Continuous striving for building an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust

Thought of the day: practice of Management

Managerial  functions mostly involves the following roles:
1.    Planning
2.    Organizing
3.    Staffing
4.    Directing
5.    Leading
6.    Motivating
7.    Coordinating
8.    Communicating
9.    Controlling[POS-D-LMC3]
·       Really a challenging and an elevated role in any complex work environment…..
·       These nine skills-set must be developed through practical training and development in any individual with very educational background.
·       Especially, planning is the most challenging job, as persons with strong vision and farsightedness and a decent background in practical Mathematics & statistics can be good in planning & designing job
·       Leading & motivating are the biggest interpersonal roles a manager excels in
·       For being a excellent Manager-Leader one needs to planned-organized and systematic in approach towards any assignment/project

Thought of the day: right decisions & right amount of money in managing private & public lives

Right people should decide right things at the right time to bring about positive changes in both public and private lives. These decisions will always be connected to ‘money’ as the most vital component. Hence two major aspects of living a better life : Decision-making & Money
In matters of critical importance involving any kind of human suffering , fast and accurate decision-making is most important for finding an enduring solution for the problems. Fast and accurate decision-making is an art and hence it gets fine-tuned with practical experience in a field of activity.
With almost all kinds of managerial or personal decision-making, a vital factor is associated directly or indirectly. That factor is none other than Money. Money is a social oxygen without which one’s social existence become dangerously unsafe. Hence we must consider ‘money’ as the most critical factor for social survival and existence.
In life, money plays the most prominent role in dealing with external world and it critically influences human behaviors.
Managing money, time, relationships are the key elements that affect our living with greatest impact.
Hence we should plan and implement management concepts in these fields on a daily basis.

Thought of the day...: Being a teacher is itself a big challenge

Parameters of evaluation of a teacher are:

  • patience
  • dedicated
  • knowledge
  • application of knowledge in real-life
  • common sense
  • process of continuous learning
  • positive attitudes
  • selflessness
  • leadership by setting examples for the students
  • up-gradation of knowledge
  • innovation in content delivery and teaching methods
  • interactive and participatory teaching learning methods

Thought of the day

Observance of Silence and fasting on water for a fixed duration of time might improve our health and improvement of health parameters will ensure happiness on the personal front......

Overloading of the digestive system results into overall deterioration of health......

Practice of self-control, self-restraint and self-discipline are the biggest assets in one's personal life....

When our senses are directed towards the outside world, we slowly start losing mental peace, as sights and sound pollution are the root causes of stress in our lives.

Thought of the day: Love of Mathematics can improve mental concentration & peace

The most important things about finding the subject of Mathematics interesting are
·        We can not perform well without sufficient hands-on practice
·        Personal interest should be created for having enough passion to solve problems
·        Trail and error method is the source of inspiration for the Mathematics lovers
·        We should take enough time to think of various alternatives about solving a particular problem
·        Graphs are very important, and interesting too
·        Mathematics is the only subject that requires a great amount of mental concentration and patience
·        Mathematical problem solving can be used as a tool for improving mental concentration

Thought of the day: dimensions of professionalism

Skills required to become successful professionals are
·       Mathematical skills
·       Technical skills in specialized field of activities
·       Linguistic skills, especially in English
·       Soft-skills
·       Interpersonal skills & good manners
·       General knowledge on all subjects
·       Applied common sense for all situations

Thought of the day: selfless services can clease our body and mind

I feel pain when I see common people are passing through hard days of poverty and illness. Hence I wish to give selfless and free service to bring some positive changes in the lives of the suffering humanity. As it is not possible to do the same in a big way, I shall start giving my personal service through Ramakrishna Mission-type NGOs.
Real service in a completely selfless manner would possibly reduce my pain to some extent. There are dishonest, greedy and cruel people all around and a few people only realize the art of living. It is better to ignore  activities of the dishonest, greedy and cruel people, and contribute something in my own personal way.

Without selfless service, we shall never be able to cleanse our body and minds. Then only we shall be able to start our spiritual journey that would end at complete self-realization in the sands of time.

Thought of the day: : Mathematics as an interesting and everlasting hobby

The most important things about finding the subject of Mathematics interesting are
  • ·        We can not perform well without sufficient hands-on practice
  • ·        Personal interest should be created for having enough passion to solve problems
  • ·        Trail and error method is the source of inspiration for the Mathematics lovers

Thought of the day: attaining mental peace

The level of mental peace one enjoys depends on the lifestyle one follows. An undisturbed mind is achieved ,not through a hectic lifestyle, but through regular practice of yoga posture that ensures balanced secretion of hormones.
If we practice yoga on a regular basis, we can feel the internal changes that take place. Even the thought-patterns get completely changed and our inner attitudes and perception improve to a great extent.
An integrated and balanced personality develops through regularity of the practice of selected yoga postures.

We can take guidance of an expert yoga-trainer to learn the art and science of Yoga and Meditation that may act as a stimulus for us to make yoga a part and parcel of our lives.

Thought of the day

The biggest achievement in life is to

  • knowing the self
  • understanding one's core abilities and competencies
  • giving respect to others
  • having self-knowledge to relate to the world and existence
  • ignoring the non-essentials
  • seeking true happiness and peace in spiritual development
  • being able to withstand criticism

Formula for a happier life: Einstein's views

Life is work, play and keeping your mouth shut....really a marvelous piece of  philosophy of living

Thought of the day

To get mental peace , we should use a few  special technical commands  on a continuous basis, whenever we remember that we need peace, in our brain systems & thinking process:

  • refresh
  • relax
  • be cool
  • select
  • edit
  • delete
  • save
  • then 'refresh' again
  • then 'relax' again
  • pause
  • break
  • align
  • justify
  • format a 'drive'
  • connect
  • disconnect
  • isolate
  • forget
  • upgrade  etc. etc.
Human body and mind functioning are quite similar to the functions of a computer systems.

Thought of the day

One big thing about education is to be well-educated
in
Mathematics
&
English
(i.e. one foreign language with its vast literature that encompasses all kinds of human emotions and philosophies of life)

for us
Indians
to be among the advanced nations of the world

Thought of the day

Managerial responsibilities consist of the following functions:

  • marketing ( promoting products and services that are of great social benefit and human welfare in general)
  • human talent management (recruiting and utilization of human talents and resources by motivating and leading)
  • Finance(managing money, keeping accounts, managing revenue, controlling cost, salary administration . preparing reports and auditing etc.)
  • Operations(production planning and maintaining productivity at the optimum level)
  • Systems(use of computer and software to store information and to retrieve the same at the right time)

Thought of the day

Interpersonal skills are the biggest needs of a good marketing manager & marketing is the key to business development in any sector.
Marketing requires a lot of rigorous training and development process for any individual....

  • speaking ability
  • body language
  • good manners

Thought of the day: really Truth

Speaking the truth is a very difficult task, but when one makes a habit life gets transformed into a beautiful one with a lot of satisfaction and peace. People all around may misunderstand and you can be called a fool or a mad,
But such perceptions by other people hardly matter if one has strong personality traits and enough level of mental concentration.
Hence we should pursue the goal of self-realization with single-minded devotion(SMD). We should therefore try to acquire as much SMD as possible.

Thought of the day: improved self-management

The big challenges facing me are:

  • keeping  brain and emotion  cool, after observing behaviours of dishonest, greedy and arrogant people at the professional work-place
  • Managing anger is therefore an art, beyond scientific concepts and ideas
  • Channelizing anger into creative actions is a superior art too
  • Leading a simpler life
  • Ignoring the unimportant people at work-place, at any cost, all the time
  • Using single-minded devotion (SMD) most of the time at work-place
  • Not to react to the comments of the mediocre
  • creative action needs a lot of silence in life, so ignoring and avoiding the mediocre is an inevitable part of daily life
  • avoiding confrontation of all kinds, but keeping respect high by being outspoken by the balanced use of  bold and courageous
  • Honest professionals will always have lesser number of friends, as expected
  • Being rough, tough and outspoken are also essential at times, to stop irritating behaviours of the mediocre people all around
  • Keeping busy with my planned actions of the day will relieve me of  tension and worry and misunderstandings
  • Being professional at the work-place is at the root of being happy employee too
  • Management science also teaches us to be 'professional' by using scientific methods
  • Practical Management also requires a lot of theoretical background
