A new thing in life....'being one's own self'

From now onwards I shall be changing subject matter of writing in this blog. The focus will be on my experiences in life, especially my professional and social experiences fro last 24 years. I shall be discussing things I learnt from various events of life. Some of the recent experiences are

  • it is impossible to satisfy everyone surrounding us
  • perception is a relativistic phenomenon, where different persons view the same thing in different ways, sometimes in completely opposite in perception....
  • fools only dance at the tune of everyone...
  • it is always advisable to listen to the opinions of others, i.e. to be a good listener in every situation
  • tall-talkers are always non-doers
  • theory and practicals are basically north and south poles of the same magnet...
  • people are inherently selfish, but a generous heart can bring about a lot of change
  • Common sense combined with practical ideas and actions can do miracles in everyday life
  • listening:talking should in the ratio of  9:1
  • Love and respect are reciprocal in nature
  • to be rich in a short time, one must be dishonest in one way or the other
  • We should not preach others, we should preach ourselves... we should act according to the advice of ourselves

Teaching is an interesting profession

It varies from person to person. But the more we get involved in the process, our hunger for knowledge as well as content  delivery process become very very interesting. This interest keeps the teacher engaged in creative activities which generates a lot of satisfaction. Once we start liking teaching, it automatically get improved everyday. When a teacher strives for attaining perfection, he becomes a source of inspiration for the young learners.....

Management is not an easy subject...

As I have started teaching the subject of management after a long time, I am finding it difficult to teach. To create interest in the subject is really a great challenge. A thorough, well-planned  preparation  is essential to create high impact on the minds of the young minds. The subject consists of knowledge from many different fields such as psychology, industrial engineering, sociology, technology, environment, ethics, law, spirituality etc. The more I try to learn, the more areas emerge from different angle. Except the quantitative/statistical analysis or optimization techniques, Management is truly an ART. The skills of the teacher really matter in influencing young minds for improved thinking and also for attainment of newer skills. Expertise in management develops in the same process as in other sciences:
data to information to knowledge to wisdom to intuition
