Teaching_learning & achievement of excellence

Even after 19 years of teaching experience, I can hardly say that I have evolved as a good teacher. But certain self-corrective actions could produce good results. More preparation on the subject matter would place me as a better teacher. At least 2 hours of self-study is needed for bettering  content-delivery. A teacher should always be passionate about teaching a topic and start a topic with most interesting 'introduction'.. Class-room management is the biggest challenge in the life of any teacher. Class-room management starts with a pleasant, respectful and dignified ambiance within the class-room and such an ambiance is solely the creation of extraordinary leadership quality, art of rapport-building and teaching ability on the part of the teacher.  My recent experiences say that a teacher should also be a good administrator as well as a researcher. This abilities together make a good teacher.

I need to sharpen the above-said qualities for my own satisfaction and for my own growth and development as a teacher.

I sometimes feel that I am in the right profession, and today's world of education has changed drastically and hence it is difficult to cope up with the enormous changes in culture, attitudes, economy, and political influences on life and lifestyles. All these changes originate from 'consumerist' attitudes towards lifestyle. These are hence the reasons for apathy for VALUES AND ETHICS in life and society....some people simply make fun of VALUES AND ETHICS...some people seek the shortest path to success and prosperity and create examples before others for making 'greed' a part and parcel of their lives.....
