The most difficult thing in life is leading. Leading is a job that goes beyond doing. Leading is an invisible art of motivating, commanding and controlling without putting any pressure on anybody in any way. It is basically an art of behaving which displays honesty, integrity and strength before others. All these characteristics actually should originate from self-motivation, self-respect, self-confidence and self-learning. Leadership is a style getting things done through employment of skills and knowledge of others. Though a difficult task, some of the following actions could be taken at the personal level:
1. clearly indicating the preferences at the work-place
2. reinforcing the above criterion at every opportunity
3. sincere praisings for the fellow subordinates
4. showing respect for others, even when opinions vary
5.developing an atmosphere of trust and cheerfulness among all the members
6.striving for achieving excellence so that others learn from the examples set
7. shaping result-oriented daily work-routine
8. trying to finish a planned job by the end of the day

Management of Mental Fitness and its development......
Our mental fitness depends directly on the state of physical fitness, in the sense that if we are not physically fit, we can not be expected to be completely mentally fit. We need a strong body and a strong mind will automatically follow. I have experienced in many times in my personal life. Physical fitness though does not guarantee mental fitness, as mental cleasing process is also very much essential for a good body-mind relationship.
Mental fitness can be improved by taking regular yogic and breathing exercises. In addition to that, we should keep ourselves in in any form of devoted work or self-study of variety of subjects. If we are in the process of learning some new subject or make a habit of solving puzzles, brain-teasers or if we play chess, we are bound to improve our mental concentration. Mental concentration is at the heart of resolving many tough issues of life.
Higher level of concentartion will make the problem-solving process better and effective in many ways.Calmness of the mind can throw out most of the conflicts and turmoils of daily life....

Self-management challenges
To manage or to lead others, one should be able to manage the self in a perfect manner first. By managing the self in a planned and systematic manner, we can set examples before others and therefore creating an atmosphere of encouraging perfection .It is really true that we can better the ways of doing things, if we try to achieve perfection in performing the job we are assigned with. Hence from onw onwards , we should always try to set a higher standard of performance for ourselves and things on all fronts will improve automatically. Behind all our imperfections and failures, we ourselves are to be blamed, as the root cause might be one or more of the following:
1. lethargy
2. procrastination
3. waste of time and energy in unproductive areas
4. lack of sense of timing
5. mismanagement of time
6. not having the tenacity and determination to complete our assignments in time
etc.etc.
Hence the biggest lesson in management and leadership should be 'striving for perfection' 'continuous practice in doing things' so that others feel motivated and inspired for achieving perfection in their own domains. We should be able to attain perfection in speaking, writing, behaving, and engaging our skills in attainign our desired objectives in both professional and personal lives

Self-motivation and productivity....
Self-motivation is at the root of all work that we do. It's a great challenge to keep ourselves motivated and inspired. Life passes through ups and downs. It's natural. But during the period of depressive thinking, we tend to degrade ourselves if we do not network with friends who are hard-core positive thinkers. When managing things becomes more and more difficult, we should take advice and guidance from our well-wishers. Our well-wishers only can boost up our morale and put us on the right track. Otherwise, we may fall victim to obsessive depression which is harmful to both body and mind...Here mental state is the primary concern of leading a happy and balanced life. A healthy mind definitely produces positive physiological states and therefore enhancing the possibility of being in a happy condition.
Most of ailments originate from an unregulated lifestyle and mental worry or disturbances of some kind or the other. Hence controlling the mind to be in a state of peace and productive thinking is the biggest issue in practical life...
